IN INDONESIAN TELCO PROJECT

CS CORE Release 4 Engineers

In cooperation with a multinational company in Telecommunication Industry, PT. Dian Graha Elektrika is looking for expatriate candidates to join our team which will be assigned in the projects of P.T. Nokia Siemens Network.

Responsibilities :


Provide first line & second line maintenance (technical support) for the NSS (Switching Core) equipments during the Project and Network Operations Phase.
Give On-the-job training to other CS Core Engineer colleagues.
Correct NSS faults and performance degradations in the managed network
Responsible to be involved in the development and implementation of O&M processes
Responsible for co-operating with the technical support of 3rd party equipment
Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all circuit core switching equipments
NSS network elements downtimes decreased
NSS network element quality improved
Will be involved in software upgrades and correction updates to switching elements
Carries out installation and/or commissioning and/or integration of NSN CS CORE Release 4 3G Rel.4 CS CORE activities (MSS/MGW/CDS/TCP-IP).
Participates in fault management and/or help-desk activities. (Helpdesk, Kruse etc.)
On-site support at customers premises where participates network operation service (NOS), where applicable. Planning and running a subproject, limited scope.
Implement parametering in the network elements and subsystems (understands KPI and the impact on the performance of the system).
Feedback and co-ordination with Network Planning. Mostly own project customer interface and has the role of customer responsible person in his/her own competence area. If requested, executes above-mentioned activities in other support-site/country.
Responsible to be involved in the development and implementation of O&M processes

Involved in software upgrades and correction updates to switching elements

Requirements:
Independent in installation and/or commissioning and/or integration of NSN CS CORE Release 4 3G Rel.4 CS CORE activities (MSS/MGW/CDS/TCP-IP).
Capable to do scratch install of MSS/MGW/CDS software
Network expansion activities. SW maintenance activities such as installation & test of technical/change notes /change deliveries.
Technical/customer acceptance testing. Technical support tasks including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting within own competence area.
Experience in maintaining NSN CS CORE Release 4 3G Rel.4 CS CORE equipments
Capability to provide first line & second line maintenance (technical support) for the NSS (Switching Core) equipments during the Network Operations Phase.
Capability to Correct NSS faults and performance degradations in the managed network

    Networking is the most effective way to finding any type of employment! We hear a lot about networking and it is absolutely crucial whether starting a job search. In today's competitive job market, 60% of the jobs are found through networking. But just what is networking?

    First Contact
    Networking is about making contact with the people you know and the people they know. According to a recent research regarding a US-base multinational company with 5,000 employees, 50% of their junior/senior staff were hired through referrals by existing employees. All vacancies in big corporations are posted internally before being advertised. This is called "Reverse Networking" by big employers and saves them immense costs in job advertisements. This is a common practice with all the big employers across the globe.

    Map out your direction
    Remember, when networking, you are not asking for a job, you are merely asking, "who do you know that I should contact?" It's important to have a clear objective in mind when you're networking stay focused on your career direction: -
    • What occupation are you pursuing?
    • What information are you seeking?
    • Which companies are you trying to reach?
    • Who would be an excellent lead for you?
    Be very clear and specific about this before you go to your next association or business meeting, networking event or cocktail party. The results will surprise you. If you're not sure what you want, try saying, "I'm in transition and looking at different opportunities available to me," instead of saying "I just need any kind of a job." Use every opportunity to network. Networking is an ongoing process, even after you get a job, and it helps you obtain future jobs. Also try to keep building your network continuously.

    Additional Networking tips
    Assume everyone is important, because they are! Develop your small talk conversation skills. Listen carefully. Introduce the person you just met to someone else. Always carry business cards, even if you're between jobs! Periodically follow up with people you've met with a phone call or note.
