In Indonesia, INPEX is acting as Kontraktor Kontrak Kerjasama (KKKS) with BPMigas for many upstream projects since 1966. INPEX is the operator of Masela Block (Abadi project) offshore Maluku, Arafura Sea, Indonesia. INPEX is pressing ahead with technical and engineering studies of the Abadi field development for future commercial Floating LNG production.

Environment Manager (HSE)

Job Description & Specific Requirement:

    * Specify and ensure all the assets and operations adhere to Indonesian and international natural environmental standards
    * Evaluate impact of loss of containment and undertake scenario planning to mitigate risk to the environment
    * Has experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessment
    * Conduct Performance Reporting and Improvement
    * Manage Compliance and Best Practices
    * Manage Planning and Budget
    * Manage the Development of the team
    * Provide support to other sections in HSE department and other environmental related tasks where requested
    * 12+ years in senior HSE positions in international oil & gas company and experience of establishing environmental protection programs compliant with International standards
    * Preferable with education background of Environment Engineer

Safety & Security Manager (HSE)

Job Description & Specific Requirement:

    * Lead, steer and coach the organization on safety engineering and security philosophies, principles and objectives
    * Set country and project safety policies and oversee safety case development and updates
    * Set safety performance targets, agree with management and monitor performance against safety standards and targets
    * Provide HSE assistance to all the asset organizations as required
    * Safety and Security Management Systems and Programs
    * Performance Reporting and Improvement
    * Manage Compliance and Best Practices
    * Manage Planning and Budget
    * Manage the Development of the team
    * Support to other sections in HSE department and other safety and/or security related tasks where requested.
    * 12+ years in senior HSE positions in international oil & gas company and experience of applying safety standards to projects and to offshore construction and production operations
    * Preferable with education background of Safety Engineer

Sr. Safety & Security Engineer (HSE)

Job Description & Specific Requirement:

    * Responsible for ensuring the application of safety engineering and security principals and standards in the design of work packages
    * Deliver studies to identify, quantify and mitigate safety and security risks for activities
    * Ensure that INPEX and its contracting organizations comply with safety and security standards and performance targets set by the Company, and those required by law and/or regulation
    * Support to other sections in HSE department and other safety related tasks where requested.
    * 8+ years in HSE positions in oil & gas upstream company, inclusively related to well & rig drilling and completion operations as well as other activities

System Development Officer (HSE)

Job Description & Specific Requirement:

    * Develop, implement and manage HSE policies, systems, and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk, and implementation of controls
    * Develop, implement and maintain HSE MS
    * Develop, implement and maintain the HSE reporting systems for the efficient delivery of HSE statistics & analysis
    * Develop and implement HSE training programs
    * Support to other sections in HSE department and other HSEMS related tasks where requested
    * 5-10 years in senior HSE positions in international oil & gas company, capable of creating asset HSE systems compliant with standards

Sr. Production Engineer (PED)

Job Description & Specific Requirement:

    * Provide technical assistant to Petroleum Engineering GM
    * Participate in the partners’ meeting
    * Monitor the daily progress of development/production operational activities of non operator projects
    * Carry out petroleum engineering (facility & well) evaluation of existing projects and new ventures
    * Monitor, collect and compile information or data of Indonesian E&P activities including Coal Bed Methane (CBM)
    * Liaise with Operators and with Tokyo Head Office for petroleum engineering matters (facility & well) of non operator projects
    * Construct and maintain Petroleum Engineering data base
    * Plan and implement education programs for Production Engineer
    * Establish good relationship and liaise with BPMIGAS, Migas and other Governmental institutions in relation with petroleum engineering (facility & well) applications or discussions
    * Prior production engineering experience working with an operating company
    * Understanding of multiphase fluid flow, wellbore hydraulics, Nodal analysis
    * The following knowledge/experience will provide additional advantage
    * Integration of well completion equipment
    * Gas field experience
    * 8+ years engineering and operational practice in natural gas production
    * Preferable with education background of Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

Production Operations Engineer (O&M)

Specific Requirement:

    * Familiarization of multi-flow simulation
    * Familiarization of sub-sea production system
    * Experience of gas production engineering and operation
    * Preferable with education background of Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    * Multi-Phase Flow Engineering Study
    * Development of Production Operation Philosophy
    * Development of Production Operation Plan
    * Gas Production Engineering with subsea flowline, riser and umbilicals
    * Gas Production Operation with subsea flowline, riser and umbilicals
    * 5+ years engineering and operational practice in natural gas production

General Requirements:

   1. Hold Bachelor or Master Degree in related position from a reputable University
   2. Preferably with experience in the energy sector
   3. Possess strong leadership and analytical thinking for Managerial position
   4. Fluent and effective oral and written communication skill in English and Indonesia

    How To Be An Interview Winner

    In a job interview a strong handshake and a happy, confident approach is a positive move, but be sure to communicate what you want and prepare questions to ask because not doing so turns off the interviewer, a survey has found.
    The Hays survey of employers in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand asked over 100 employers to list what turns them on and off a candidate in a job interview.

    It found thetop ten turn-ons were:
    1. Confident, happy and positive attitude
    2. Strong presentation, in terms of communication skills, dress and/or handshake
    3. Provision of real life examples to demonstrate answers
    4. Ability to illustrate how they stand out as a candidate
    5. Clear career plan or aspiration
    6. Enthusiastic and passionate about the role
    7. Communicate the benefits they can bring the business
    8. Prepare questions in advance to ask the interviewer
    9. Displays a good understanding of the role
    10. Is an active listener
    The top ten turn-offswere:
    1. Poor verbal communication skills
    2. Not answering the question asked
    3. Not researching the company or role before the interview
    4. Leaving a mobile phone on
    5. Inability to provide solid examples of previous experience
    6. Exaggerating experience or skills
    7. Focusing on the negative rather than the positive in situations or experiences

    While each job is different, it seems that being happy and confident in a job interview does help improve the interviewer’s opinion of a candidate, said Emma Charnock, general manager of Hays Hong Kong. If you smile, maintain eye contact and speak clearly, you present yourself as self-confident and assured about your ability to do the job.
    Poor verbal communication skills, such as giving short answers, struggling to articulate answers, speaking quietly or not thinking before speaking, are all big mistakes.
    Equally, not listening properly to the question asked, giving an unrelated answer or being unsure of the question and so launching into a long and unrelated answer rather than asking for clarification, is also disadvantageous. If you can’t answer a question, say so, Emma said.
    The survey was conducted with 102 clients across Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. There was no limit to the number of responses each client could give.
