Our Client, a Leading Gold Mining Company in urgently requires the following position:

Scope of Work:

• Manage open pit mining, dealing with geotechnical inspection, monitoring and managing day to day geotechnical hazards for safety and viability of mining construction.
• Manage site based geotechnical engineering at the current operations, providing geotechnical advice to achieve optimum pit slope designs.
• Geotechnical modeling of future pit slopes may also be required as development progresses.
• Provision of adequate geotechnical information to assist the safe operating environment of the mine pits.
• Producing pit geotechnical models and maintaining up to date slope parameters suitable for each pit.
• Developing and implementing geotechnical programs – coordinating with mine planning to ensure geotechnical information is available in a timely manner and appropriately implemented.
• Providing information to operations on pit slope conditions, identifying key geological and geotechnical factors impacting on pit slope design and stability in each domain.
• Assisting with structural geological mapping and ground control monitoring of open pit mine slopes and identification of existing and or future slope instabilities.
• Manage mine construction, mine design, geotechnical investigations and backfill design.

Qualification:

• S1 degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• At least 5 (Five) years experience at similar position
• Competency with Surpac and UDEC will be highly regarded, as will previous experience working in Asia.
